Risks to internal IT infrastructure

Many consider that internal IT systems are safer than cloud-based systems, however that is not necessarily true. For example, one of the major Australian banks suffered a two day outage of its major IT systems, including ATM and EFTPOS networks, because its internal network became infected with a virus that caused so much network traffic that it made those internal systems unavailable for customer use. It took two days to recover from the mess before the bank’s customers had access to the standard bank services such as ATMs and EFTPOS.

Addressing the key risks

Hence the security and availability of systems requires addressing the risks and taking steps to reduce those risks, no matter whether the systems are in the cloud, or on an internal network. For cloud systems, the majority of risks faced by systems are external and from outside Australia.

Why LeecareCloud.com is a market leader in risk reduction

The LeecareCloud.com solutions are a market leader in risk reduction because 99.999% of traffic from outside Australia is automatically dropped that immediately reduces the risks to the security of the systems. That is one key reason why we have such an enviable record of security on our cloud systems, because rather than having to face risks from global attacks, we have already “thrown-away” 99.999% of the risks and can focus our attention on the 0.001% of risks.
